Modern Office Management

 

 

The programme is designed after comprehensive discussion and analytical deliberation from experts of the subject work in polytechnic and from industries.

The Broad Objectives are as under:

(1) To acquaint the students with the office system and procedures followed in various organizations such as Government Departments, Public undertakings, Private sectors and industrial establishments, etc.
(2) To provide adequate knowledge in the areas like Stenography, Accounting and Secretarial work, operation and handling of office equipments like Electronic Typewriters, Computer, Telephones, Telex, Fax, Duplicating machines, Photocopier, Cash Register, Billing Machine, Postal franking, stencil cutting machine, Paper Shredder, Combining machine, paper perforating machine, Embossing machine, Addressograph etc. Handling of inward and outward correspondence and rules and procedures for office records etc.
(3) To equip the students with comprehensive knowledge of computer for management work.
(4) To help the students to develop their personality by way of fluent expressions, good vocabulary, excellent manner, good makeup and patience etc. in order to built up rising career in the management ladder.

The three-year diploma holders of Modern Office Management can avail themselves of the following job opportunities:
1. Jr. Executive in various public/private sectors/undertaking.
2. Steno Typist in various public/private sectors/undertaking.
3. Typist in various public/private sectors/undertaking.
4. Stenographers in various Government/public/private sectors/organizations.
5. Jr. Executive in Management Information system (MIS).
6. Personal Assistant/Personal Secretary/Secretary to Executive.
7. Office Assistants, Clerks in various organizations like Banks/Public Sectors Organization/ Private Business Organizations/Government Department.
8. Computer Operators including word processor Data Entry Operator, Assistant Programmer.
